Shannon Renee Sullivan Abele, age 48, of Bristol, Tenn., went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 17, 2020, at the Ballad Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn. She was born on June 4, 1972, the daughter of Sandra Sullivan and the late John Sullivan. Shannon was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, and friend. She had countless friends who she cared for greatly. She was a loyal employee of The Home Depot for several years and took great pride in her job. Shannon always had a free spirit and she lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Anthony and family to so many beautiful places and beaches. Her heart was always by the sea. She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Anthony Abele; children, Amber Bishop, DJ Raulerson and AJ Abele; grandchildren, Alexis Cormier, Draven Raulerson, Sophie Raulerson and Alex Raulerson; mother, Sandra Sullivan; brother, Shane Sullivan and wife, Tina Sullivan; uncle, Ron Stout and wife, Theresa Stout; son-in-law, Johndrea Bishop Jr.; daughter-in-law, Tiffany Crawford; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family, friends and anyone whose life that was touched by Shannon are invited to the receiving of friends from 5 until 7 p.m. on Monday, June 29, 2020, at Oakley-Cook Funeral Home in Bristol, Tenn. A memorial service will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Scott Price officiating. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shannon's very special friend Sharon Kidwell for being with the family in their time of need; and also, Pastor Scott Price for his kind, encouraging words and guidance in such a difficult time.
