Johnson is the developer of The Pinnacle in Bristol, Tennessee, who is now developing adjacent land in Washington County, Virginia. On Jan. 7, Johnson and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians announced plans to establish a $200 million casino and hotel on land on the Virginia portion of The Pinnacle. But this is the second year the Virginia General Assembly has worked on gaming legislation, which already includes the proposed $400 million Hard Rock Bristol Resort and Casino.

Steve Johnson has done a lot of good things for Bristol and the entire area surrounding Bristol.

He has had a vision and I believe him when he stated that his idea was stolen.

When the casino at the mall location was first announced they said that it should be approved so that it wouldn’t go to another near by location.
