The National Weather Service in Morristown reported at 6:40 p.m. that thunderstorms in Southwest Virginia and Northeast Tennessee have weakened this evening.

Some thunderstorms could develop in the next few hours but are not expected to be as strong as the storms that occurred earlier today.

Brief gusty winds and pea sized hail is possible until shortly before sunset. 

At this time, no hazardous weather is expected in the region Tuesday through Sunday.
