Robert Emory Booher, 82, of Bristol, Tenn., passed away Thursday, June 6, 2019, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born in Bristol, Va. on September 7, 1936, a son of the late Charles and Mary Newton Booher. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, one grandson, and one son-in-law, Tony Ross. He attended Cornerstone Free Will Baptist Church, Bristol, Tenn. and was a avid fisherman. He had worked with the City of Bristol, Tenn. for 18 years and with Holston Valley Distributing for several years. Robert is survived by his wife of 63 years, Margaret Rhymer Booher; two daughters, Shirley Thacker and husband, James and Kathy Ross; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2019, at Blevins Funeral & Cremation Services, Bristol, Va. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Pastor Gary Rowlette officiating. The committal service and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Florence Union Cemetery, 256 Old Hickory Tree Rd., Bristol, TN 37620. Pallbearers will be James Baumgardner, Isaiah Thacker, Tony Ross, Jack Baumgardner, Cory Ross, Storm Woods, and Bobby Thacker.
