CASTLEWOOD, Va. Tommy W. Hall Sr., 71, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Castlewood, Virginia, son of the late Charlie and Edith Meade Hall. He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Brenda Sue Dotson and Patty Austin Long; one brother, Charlie "Jr" Hall; paternal grandparents, Robert and Susie Hall; and maternal grandparents, Walter and Gertrude Meade. Tommy was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and was a born again Christian who loved his Lord. He was a member of Highlands Fellowship in Abingdon, Virginia and also attended Lake View Church in Castlewood, Virginia. Left to mourn his passing are his wife of fifty-one years, Deborah Hall; one daughter, Michelle Baker and husband, Jeff; one son, TJ Hall and wife, Kayla; four grandchildren, Joseph Baker and wife, Kayla, Emily Addington and husband, Evan, and Charleigh and Brady Hall; special cousin, Donnie Meade and wife, Margaret; his constant companion, his fur baby, Minnie; two brothers, Gene Hall and wife, Wanda and Bobby Hall and wife, Missy; two sisters, Phyllis Hicks and husband, James and Helen Herndon and husband, Kenneth. A Celebration of Life service for Tommy W. Hall Sr. will be conducted at 7 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with Brother Cuba Porter and Pastor Roger Carter officiating. Francis M. Plummer, age 80, of Bluff City, Tenn., passed away on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at Bristol Regional Medical Center. He was born December 26, 1938 in Vienna, Va., a son of the late Sheula and Etta Blevins Plummer. Francis was a retired accountant and worked for Appalachian Oil for 25 years and SESCO for over 20 years. He was a member of Riverbend Baptist Church where he served as deacon, music director and former treasurer. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Mary Ellen Plummer; son, Randy W. Plummer and wife, Mary Elizabeth; and brother, Harold Plummer and wife, Gwen. The funeral service will be held 6 p.m. Tuesday, December 3, 2019 in the Weaver Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mary Elizabeth Bausell Hale, 93, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019, at her home in Grove City, Ohio, surrounded by her family. Born in Lebanon, Va., on September 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late James Taylor Bausell and Eliza Jane Rhea Bausell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Virgil N. Hale, a United Methodist pastor, who passed away in 2008. She was an avid league bowler until the spring of this year. She was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Braves but after attending games in person, preferred to watch on television. She was also a landscape artist selling many of her paintings from the front porch of her family home in Lebanon and a poet with hundreds of poems in her collection. Survivors include her sons, James F. (Linda) of Grove City, Gerald N. (Carolyn) of Kingsport, Tenn., Thomas V. (Dacy) of Honaker, Va.; daughter, Janie Edwards (Rob) of Rural Retreat, Va.; and stepson, Virgil N. Smith (Denise) of Nanango, Australia; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Russell Memorial Cemetery in Lebanon. MEADOWVIEW, Va. On Saturday, November 30, 2019, the chimes of heaven rang calling Georgia Frances Hutton Moore, a beloved daughter of Washington County, Va., to a higher realm. She was born on September 23, 1941, to James Edward Hutton and Helen Holloway Hutton. Educated at Meadowview Elementary and High Schools and graduated from Emory and Henry College, she taught English for thirty-five years to thousands of students at Abingdon High School with enthusiasm, wit and compassion, gaining her their everlasting affection. Being a talented story teller, she often entertained her students with stories of good and evil, humorous happenings and home spun information gathered through the years. She is remembered for her generosity and legendary hospitality. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, William Wayne Moore Sr.; brother, William Edward Hutton; and sisters, Lillian Rachel Meek and Bonnie Holloway Reames Duncan. Her survivors include her son, William Wayne Moore Jr.; his wife, Patricia; her daughter, Chelse; and grandchildren, Marley Davis and Mason Pulley. Also surviving are her sister, Margaret Isabelle Naylor and husband, William Rudolph Naylor; brother, James Robert Hutton and wife, Catherine Clendenen Hutton and a special friend, Larry Tolbert. In addition, she leaves sixty-four nieces and nephews, in whose lives she was vitally interested, who (with spouses) are named honorary pallbearers. Numerous family pets will miss her kindly presence. She regularly attended Old Glade Presbyterian Church where she was a lifelong member and active in Church life. Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2019, at Holston Conference Cemetery in Emory, Va., with the Rev. Timothy Bird and Mrs. Catherine C. Hutton officiating.
