On August 17, 2019, Lavelle Manufacturing/GaricStephens will unveil a Fall/Winter 2019 Collection of high-end evening wear and accessories for men and women at a gala fashion show and reception at The Barns at Chip Ridge in Abingdon, Virginia.
This event will showcase the work of Stephen Curd, namesake of GaricStephens (custom design and bespoke tailoring) and founder of Lavelle Manufacturing and GS Accessories (ready-to-wear handmade clothing and accessories). Last fall, Curd was honored as a business leader and named one of the “40 Under Forty” young professionals who are making an economic and cultural impact in the region.
The evening will be catered with heavy hors d’oeuvres and desserts, a bar, and a live musical performance lead by Carly Booher, lead singer of well known folk-rock band Annabelle’s Curse. The fashion show will feature compelling new designs by Curd, including 16 refined evening-wear looks for men and women, worn by striking models with professional hair and makeup. Curd is known for his creative event styling, which will suggest a mystical vibe that serves as a powerful backdrop for the inspired clothing. The new designs feature the hallmark work of Curd, which includes a soft adrogeny and hard/soft aesthetic mix of vibrant fabrics and unusual textures. After a closing musical performance, guests can mingle with friends, models, and the designer.
