A surveillance camera placed in a classroom by Lee County police captured a Jonesville Middle School special education teacher drinking alcohol during school hours, Sheriff Gary Parsons said.

Kelly Steele Chadwell, 44, of Jonesville, appeared to have consumed two beers inside his classroom on Nov. 8 and Nov. 14 while his students were out for other activities, Parsons said.
