Caesars Entertainment Corporation, the parent company of Harrah's Cherokee Casino, announced Wednesday the decision to close its four Paula Deen-themed restaurants including the North Carolina location.

This is another episode in a financial fallout from Deen's controversial testimony in a sexual and racial discrimination case against her and her brother in a suit filed by a former restaurant manager.

Harrah's also had eateries designed by Deen in Mississippi, Southern Indiana and Chicago. The company plans to rebrand those restaurants in the coming months, the corporation said in a statement, and said in it was "in the best interest" to part ways with Deen, whose endorsement deals provided 30 percent of her net worth, according to media reports.
