BRISTOL – A promotion launched this week could make a shopper and online contestant $1 million richer, and earn a local children's agency $20,000.

Fas Mart and Scotchman stores are partnering for the Million-Dollar Scratch Card Game, which has two components, according to a written statement. Customers buy a specified product, like a candy bar or soda, to get a scratcher card and can instantly win prizes, and customers can win $1 million by submitting a code from the bottom of the scratcher online to www.win1mm.com.

Customers can also vote for their favorite charity among a list, which includes about 15 non-profit organizations. The Children's Advocacy Center of Bristol and Washington County is on the list, the statement said.

“Fas Mart and Scotchman Stores are all about speed and convenience, helping busy consumers get what they need so that they can get on with their day,” said Bill Reilly, senior vice president, marketing for Fas Mart and Scotchman Stores, in the statement. “We’ve designed this promotion for shoppers in a hurry – scratch and go.”
