On Sunday, Nov. 13 Smyth County sheriff’s deputies responded to 622 Norton Lane, Atkins section of Smyth County in search for a wanted person Brian Corey Hoover who was in fact located inside this residence.

On entry to the residence to take Hoover into custody a firearm was in plain view.  The home was occupied by Travis Nelson Farmer.  Finding Farmer to be a convicted felon led sheriff’s deputies to obtain a search warrant for the residence.
