Former Abingdon resident found dead in N.C. home

Police said they intend to arrest boyfriend, who was involved in a serious car crash Monday and is hospitalized

Police in North Carolina say a former Abingdon, Virginia, resident was found dead in her home over the weekend in Charlotte and they suspect her boyfriend is to blame.

Frances Harley Gutnick, 52, a 1980 John S. Battle High School graduate, died Sunday, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
